This
program is an eclectic mix tape of animated film and video shorts from
the 1960s onward that each reflect, in some way, the dialectically
interrelated themes of constancy and interruption, or stability and
malfunction. The morphing psychedelia of veteran animators Bruce
Bickford and Kathy Rose are relentlessly moving, hand-drawn
choreographies of bodily impossibilities. Fractal video artworks by
Sabrina Ratté and Yoshi Sodeoka spray the audience with millions of
heavily mediated, mirrored gestures, while glitchy digital animations by
Andrew Benson and Peter Burr draw out the transcendental possibilities
of the misplaced pixel. Glued together with post-funny animations by
Jesi the Elder, Stuart Hughes and Paperrad, the program offers a sense
of the role that broken things can play in the evolution of images. The
short programme will be followed by a feature presentation of Ryan
Trecartin's K-Corea INC. K (section a). The screening space
will be animated with installations by Philippe Blanchard and Anthony
Gasca. Future-oriented Montreal can look forward to catching this
innovative work from their local peers and international artists on
March 24th at Blue Sunshine.

Forever Falling Apart est une collection éclectique de courts métrages des années 1960.
Les thèmes abordés sont liés de
manière dialectique: la constance et l'intérruption, ou la stabilité et le
dysfonctionnement. La morphose et le psychédélisme des animateurs vétérans
Bruce Bickford, Vince Collins, et Kathy Rose sont continuellement en mouvement;
sont dessinés à la main des chorégraphies de mouvements corporels chimériques.
Oeuvre artistique avec des fractals vidéo par Sabrina Ratté et Yoshi Sodeoka;
ils pulvérisent les spectateur avec des millions de gestes réfléchis et
fortement médiatisés en même temps que les animations numériques perturbées de
Andrew Benson et Peter Burr tirant les possibilités transcendentales du pixel
égaré. Collés à tout celà, les
animations post-amusantes de Jesi the Elder, Stuart Hughes et Paperrad. La collection de courts métrages sera suivie par une présentation de
K-Corea INC. K (section a) par Ryan
Trecartin . Le
programme accorde un sens au rôle que les choses brisées peuvent jouer lors de
