Are you ready to get Impossibly Funky? Come out for a night at Blue Sunshine with Mike White, author of Impossibly Funky: A Cashiers du Cinemart Collection!

From the blighted urban squalor of Detroit came enfant terrible Mike White and his mutant publication, Cashiers du Cinemart. For fourteen years and fifteen issues the writers of Cashiers du Cinemart provided a treasure trove of writing on film and popular culture. This book collects the best articles from the fifteen year history of Cashiers du Cinemart magazine with sections dedicated to Quentin Tarantino, Star Wars, Black Shampoo, Unproduced screenplays, celebrity interviews, and much more.

White will be presenting Greydon Clark's incredible Angel's Brigade on 16mm -- "Seven super sexy girls take on the bad guys in an explosion of wild action, crazy stunts, and loads of laughs!" – and will also read a selection from and sign copies of Impossibly Funky -- the best film book you've never heard of!

Guest Bio: Often mistaken for the ginger screenwriter/actor of the same name,  Mike White has been a frequent contributor to publications such as  CinemaScope, Paracinema, Detroit’s Metro Times, and  Detour-Mag.com. He’s served on juries at the Slamdance, Cinekink  and MicroCineFest film festivals. Additionally, he’s been featured in the documentaries David Goodis: To a Pulp and The People Vs.  George Lucas.
