“Wham! Bam! Here comes Pam!” The last in the string of 70’s ass-kicking Pam Grier vehicles for American International Pictures, which included Coffy and Foxy Brown, this flick is based on the eponymous sexy 1970-74 comic strip featuring Friday Foster (Grier), a magazine photographer targeted for death after witnessing an assassination attempt on the nation's wealthiest African-American and the murder of her best friend, leading to a plot to eliminate America’s top Black political leaders!  Blaxploitation to the max, Friday Foster features an A+ supporting cast for genre fans, including Carl Weathers, Eartha Kitt, Godfrey Cambridge, and Scatman Crothers.  Yaphet Kotto completely steals the show as private detective Colt Hawkins, taking a so-so script and adlibbing attitude all over the place.
